Darragh

Known for his wistful storytelling, creating nostalgic nuggets of joy and despair. His music conveys the moods and elements of his surroundings and is delivered in an honest and alluring manner.
His debut album, “Tilly & The Postmaster", has been described as a love letter to Ireland – all its madness and beauty. Opening with a spoken word prelude from his grandfather and named after his grandparents, the record is full of colourful and engaging indie-folk yarns.
Including singles, 'Split The Difference (La Résistance)' - the story of two childhood friends who struggle to hold onto their friendship as they become adults, due to different political influences on their lives. 'Guerrilla Warfare In Your Back Garden' which features Birmingham singer Katherine Priddy - a song about fighting over land and inheritance, and title track, ‘Tilly And The Postmaster’ – a song touching on death during a pandemic and not being able to attend the funeral of your loved ones, written about his grandparents through the eyes of his grandmother.
The album tracks have gone on to receive airplay on both BBC Radio Scotland, BBC Radio Wales and be playlisted on RTE Radio 1.
Darragh has taken to the stage of the Moseley Folk Festival (Birmingham), Galway Arts Festival Big Top, Whelan’s (Dublin), The Harrison (London) and completed an 8-date tour of Germany in 2023.

"Not a lot of music holds the determination and depth Darragh O’Dea shows on Tilly and the Postmaster. This is a disc for anyone who appreciates the power of music – to expose, to endure and in the end, to provide hope" - Folk Radio UK

"A song-writing maturity and lyrical sensitivity that sets him apart from many of his contemporaries" - Cian O'Connell (Connacht Tribune)

“Deliciously uncool in a heart on sleeve way” - Donal Scannell (Born Optimistic)

"A brilliant storytelling songsmith" - Peter O'Neill (Hot Press Music Magazine)

Dave

Sometimes songs come along that sound both familiar and new, and Dave Clancy is a songwriter with that elusive gift. The Galway songwriter’s latest single ‘Out Of The Shadow’ is a song inspired by the past few years and celebrates the quiet triumph of an unsung hero.

The song follows on from Clancy’s debut album The Path, which was released last year. A collection of songs that subtly announce the arrival of a genuine talent. This is a record to be savoured, to be enjoyed from beginning to end. The album was produced by Liam Caffrey and Eamon Brady and features the vocal talents of The Whileaways and Pauline Scanlon. It also features the virtuoso talents of jazz musician Matthew Berrill, Fergal Scahill on fiddle and Will Merrigan on Double Bass. Dave Clancy has created an album of depth and substance, a debut that evokes songwriting stalwarts like Guy Clark and John Prine.

Dave is also a member of The Bird On The Wire project, a 10-piece band celebrating the songs of Leonard Cohen which has sold out The Olympia and London’s Union Chapel. An accomplished multi-instrumentalist his years as a versatile musician allow him to add a range of tones to his own work. Dave is currently working on his second record for release in Summer 2024.
