Description

Jerry Fish Electric Sideshow featuring The Strypes, Paddy

Dennehey and the Red Herring.

For the first time ever,The Jerry Fish Electric Sideshow
arrives in Limerick. A taste of electric picnics most stunning stage, Jerry
Fish brings a stellar lineup of artists to perform. The Strypes will perform
their only Irish date this side of Christmas and are joined by Limericks own
Paddy Dennehy.

There's a tendency for the word 'unique' to be bandied
around a little too freely in music circles, but that is the only way to
describe Jerry Fish's genre bending style.

A highly charismatic performer who refuses to countenance
audiences having anything but a good time.

Jerry Fish is a carny soul, one who has spent much of his
life on the road, a shape-shifter, showman, shaman, songster, rock peacock and
supper club crooner from Lynchville, a constantly evolving artist who has
always favoured innovation over orthodoxy.

Jerry's music has previously been described as “Lounge
Lizard Schmooze" and “Punk Latino" and his latest releases 'Barefoot $ Free' +
'Early to Bed' feat. Dana Colley (Morphine) have been compared to The Cramps,
The Stooges and John Spencer Blues Explosion

The Strypes are back with a band a number 1 record in the
bag with "Little Victories". From Get Into It's dirty bass
groove and the absinthe-stained psychedelic waltz of (I Wanna Be Your) Everyday
to the joyous New Wave rush of closer Scumbag City Blues, it's a record that
swerves through multiple twists and turns with a scope almost unthinkable two
years previously. Lift up the bonnet of Little Victories and you'll find
rolling - almost heavy metal like - twin riffing (I Need To Be Your Only),
careering punk pop (Best Man), Kinks-esque observations (Cruel Brunette) and
deliciously sleazy swamp rock (Status Update) all whirring thrillingly away

The Jerry Fish Electric Sideshow was once again a
highlight of this year's picnic, delivering three debauched days and nights of
mind blowing, soul bending entertainment including the hippest after hour club
in the known universe - 'Together Disco' hosted by Ryan Skelton.

Festival goers followed the signs to the leafy location with
a dandy concoction of carnival sideshow theatre and intimate off beat
alternative musical performances with very special guests including The Sultans
of Ping, The Strypes, Fight Like Apes, The Frank and Walters, Mick Flannery
R.S.A.G. and Maud in Cahoots. Plus carnival sideshow performances and
burlesque cabaret from Shir Madness, Foxy P. Cox, The Pony Girls, Réalta
Circus, Alice in Wonderpants and many more

Cultivated during his somewhat sordid lifetime in showbiz.
This wild tent and show features everything from circus performers to one of
the most lively and engaging artists in Ireland right now. A ringmaster of
exceptional renown, Fish has evolved into a showman extraordinaire, not to be
missed.
